Guest Recaps - Miss P - Love addict

I have two confessions to make before I share some glimpses from my perspective of the days before the wedding and the actual day itself (thanks for letting me guest post Mrs T!): firstly I am a bit of a cynic when it comes to romantical things, weddings included...I know, boo! Worst bridesmaid ever!
Yeah ok, buuuut wait for the second confession (pause for dramatic effect): I started falling in love during Mrs T and Mr B’s wedding festivities. Uh yeah, I did say falling in love. With Mr B’s best man. I didn’t even believe shit like that could HAPPEN before it all actually WAS happening. To me. When I imagined the hen’s night it was all champagne and Mrs T with a naked man in her lap, not sharing eye-locking moments across a crowded room with a groomsman who I had only briefly met once before.

Weddings obviously create a certain kind of energy..romantical types might even say magic. Like it or not, the very lovely best man and I might be living proof of it. What have you done to me Mrs T? Hi my name is Miss P and I am (now) a love addict.

What with the wanting to kiss the best man all the time and also being quite ill in the days leading up to the wedding, my memory of that time is somewhat blurry. Things were a little crazy. Very intense. But I also remember a lot of laughter. Because that’s what Mrs T and Mr B do.

These two moments particularly stand out in my mind:

Mr B coming up to me when we were setting up at the venue to ask if I was ok and to give me a hug..proving yet again what a truly rad husband he was going to be. Even when he had ‘stressus maximus’ he took the time to show concern for the people Mrs T cares about.

Watching Mrs T and Mr B at a dance rehearsal on the day before the day before the wedding. I saw them get frustrated with themselves, laugh with each other and eventually work through what they were being taught (by a male dance instructor whose pants – it must be said – were WAY too tight). They looked completely in tune with each other. I got teary watching it which the cynical part of me tried very hard to hide. But looking back I can see it was because I felt like I was getting a glimpse of the bond between them. It kind of moved me.

Or maybe my tears were for the dance instructors genitals..who knows.

Next time...more best man goss. Oh and wedding day recaps..of course!

You know, I think Miss P's observations are all that much stronger because she's more of a natural cynic.

Poor dance instructor's genitals! Hahahaha.

So excited to meet you, Miss P! And that's so great about you and the groomsman - it happened to a friend of mine too, so I agree that weddings create a certain mood that is conducive to love!

Well, she's fabulously funny! (I'm at work... shhhh! And I almost bursted when she said her tears were for the instructor's genitals.) Oh, goodness. No wonder I keep coming back here. Anyways, like Ms. P I became a love addict at a friend's wedding (I was also her b-maid). Watching my friend and her husband on their wedding day is what influenced Josh and I to take our relationship to a new level. Thanks for the post, Ms. P :)
