Recaps - Approaching midnight

We got home and the house was super hot. Too hot to sleep. I was so stressed. I had forbidden myself from crying as I didn't want puffy eyes the next day, but I really do not know how I held the tears in.

The clock said 2am. I was still awake. It was way too hot to sleep. Miss P was in the spare room, Mr B was sleeping on the couch. My mind was ticking over with all the little things that simply had not gotten done.

I heard the floor creak and Mr B came into our room. He laid next to me in bed and held me tight. I wish I could remember the exact words he said to me. All I can remember is how much better I felt. How not once during all of the craziness had I thought that actually marrying this man was a mistake. We joked about how not eloping to Vegas had been a mistake. He whispered the word wife and I remember getting a little flutter of excitement.

And finally I was asleep. It was our wedding day.

Those are the moments that really matter the most. All the little details are so unimportant in the big picture.

And this is what it's all about, right? I'm going to remember this post when things start getting crazy on our end.

I totally remember you posting about this the day after it happened :) Still gets me how sweet he was to you...how cool that you had him to comfort you in the chaos. :)
