Wow Hawaii seems like a million years ago. This last week has been super stressful. But we'll talk about that later. Today lets go back to Hawaii!
My lovely husband was in Vegas for work (hard life) so we met up in Hawaii. Meant we only had to pay for my airfare. Score! He greeted me at the airport with a lei. It was SO nice to see him. He was so cute - got a bit teary eyes seeing me again. He'll deny it - but I thought it was adorable.

We met some locals who told us we had to try the roadside shrimp at Romy's shrimp shack. It was SO good.
We went to a cheesy luau - Paradise Cove. We got in two for one, don't know if I'd pay full price for it. You do get drinks with umbrellas and pretty flower leis!
Poor Mr B had hurt his foot on some rocks this day, and they roped him into "volunteering" to be a dancer for the group. He was trying to say no because of his foot - but they thought he was making it up to get out of it. Luckily he pulled it off with a smile!
These are what I called the Rainbow bright shoes - at the time I thought they were cool but a little crazy. Ever since I wish I had bought them. Sad face.
Gotta love a man that will wear a flower in his hair!
I hit up all the US stores we don't have here. Victoria's secret, Forever 21, and I was super excited about Wal Mart - Mr B thought I was the biggest dork (you probably all do too). But I did not care! They are open 24 hours and they have a McDonalds inside. I got books for $5 each that are $30 back home. It was AWESOME.
We did not buy these glasses - but we were tempted!
I ate my first macaroon - so good!
We ate shave ice at Matsumotos after lining up for ten minutes! The place must make a mint - and all for selling water with sugar water on it. Was good!
On our last day we were driving back and saw all these people milling about on the beach on the side of the road. We got out and found out there were sea turtles in the water. $5 snorkels from Foodland across the road and we were in. Was the best part of the trip.

You can see him better in this one - that's me on the right. We didn't manage to get any great photos. Oh well.
Last stop was the Dole pineapple plantation for Dole Whip - which is this crazy pineapple soft serve. It was SO SO SO good. I have been dreaming about it ever since. (Mr B's hat - Wal Mart - $7 - and he didn't want to go in! Ha)It was so nice to go away together. We work way too much, so spending quality time together was awesome. Felt like being on honeymoon all over again.
Oh to be on holiday again. Why do they always go so fast?

This is the second time this week I've heard about Dole Whip - I definitely need to try it when we go to Hawaii for a wedding next summer :)

How fun! I wish I was in Hawaii again right now. And I'm so jealous that you saw a sea turtle while snorkeling. I tried and tried to find one but couldn't. Oh well. Next time... :)

It's funny that you loved Wal-Mart so much. I hate that store. It's convenient and cheap, but their ethics leave a lot to be desired. But, that's just me. Glad you enjoyed yourself. :)

Looks and sounds like you had a great little vacation and well spent time with your hubby. Pineapple soft serve sounds delicious. It great when we can get away from the hubbub of life and relax.
I just got back from holiday last week too and I feel so sad this weekend that there won't be another one for awhile. Sigh. Also, those Rainbow Brite shoes are AMAZING, I like just knowing that they exist in the world.

we went on our honeymoon to hawaii last year and loved it! matsumotos is the best and i loved the dole pineapple plantation for their delicious pineapple soft serve. hawaii is just magical.

After you commented on my blog about never being at a Wal Mart I had to come check out your blog... love that you guys had good buys there! LOL Def. cheaper then any shopping I've ever done in Australia :) Yes Dole Whip is THE BEST. I'm lucky that they have a Dole Whip stand at Disneyland so I get it frequently and don't have to always go to HI to get it :)

I totally do that when we go the states too; going again in Dec and Target, Walmart, Macy's, JCrew, Antho and many others are always on my list to go too; which is why I had to buy I new suitcase when we went last dec!
